In a world where humans are required to use many approximations of our identity – things like fobs, pins, and passwords – imagine what it would be like if you could just be yourself? This was the inspiration for our booth theme: #BeYou.
To demonstrate this day without friction, the booth was an enclosed, maze-like journey, where an individual could experience what banking could be like when they use their biometrics to confirm their identity. The stations throughout the booth showcase how BioConnect’s biometric solutions can be used for withdrawing cash at an ATM, online shopping, accessing online accounts, and personal verification on the phone, all with your own identity.
As my first ever exhibition design, as well within my first 2 months of working at BioConnect, this was an extremely challenging project.
I responsible for creating a theme around the idea of an experiential booth, but I also had to execute the designs, work with the production vendors, and create interactive components, visual aids, and experiences for each station within the booth.
Additionally, I worked on marketing collateral for social media, email campaigns, and a custom landing page to help promote our presence at the event, and to encourage potential and current customers to book a meeting to visit the booth.
At the event, the experiential booth design attracted people around the conference – with many people coming over to say they had heard about how engaging this booth was and that they had to see it for themselves. It was also extremely effective in showcasing a solution that can feel quick complex, with visitors saying they could see this being revolutionary in their everyday lives.
